The Living Room
Some places change you.
In November 2025, I traveled to Kenya with my home church — and I visited a hospital unlike anything I had ever seen. It didn't feel sterile or clinical. It felt like a sanctuary.
The Living Room sits in Eldoret, Kenya, and its mission is as simple as it is radical: to give every person — regardless of who they are or what they have — the same experience of dignity, love, and excellent care. Every person who walks through the door is known, seen, and deeply loved.
As an ICU nurse, I've witnessed firsthand how healing happens when people feel truly cared for. The Living Room doesn't just treat illness — it restores people. And watching their team work with such tenderness and excellence moved me in a way I'm still finding words for.
They are now expanding to include a pediatric ICU, a dialysis center, and new imaging services — so that even more families in Eldoret can receive the care they deserve.
Rest is how we heal — and healing is why we're here.
The Rested Nurse exists because I believe rest is sacred. It's how nurses recover so they can keep showing up. It's how our bodies repair, our minds reset, and our hearts refill.
The Living Room believes the same thing about healthcare. That every person deserves to heal — with dignity, with love, and without condition.
That's why 10% of every purchase you make through The Rested Nurse goes directly to supporting The Living Room and their work in Eldoret, Kenya.
When you invest in your rest, you're also investing in someone else's healing. That's a purchase worth making.
